Cultivating Conscious Culture and Connecting in Authentic Community @ Work...
Often, life sneaks up on us, and we don’t even see it coming. Our environment changes, and the “new" becomes normal. The impact of the iPhone era is just now being understood. We’re more connected than we’ve ever been, but more disconnected than ever. Over 75% of us are disengaged at work, a figure that has almost lost its significance, because we feel it so personally and hear about it repeatedly. Science tells us that we are more stressed out than we’ve ever been; we know this impacts us at a cellular level. But, what does it really mean to us - in how we live? And, do we have a choice? We’re taught coping skills as children for this type of world? Is there a way to thrive in the fire, to be a human “being” while constantly doing? Yes. There is. But, it requires a courageous leap.
We are bringing back the Moksha Institute to discuss a major paradigm shift that is occurring right now. Dr. Ryan Pride joined us last year and introduced us to the idea that the way we’re working, isn’t working. Dr. Ryan and his partner, Sheila Pride will be coming to teach the Inner science of engagement and positivity, breath-based practices for reducing stress and anxiety, and resiliency tools to survive the corporate marathon.
More, they will demonstrate how these practices can become part of corporate culture change to create 1) community networks at work, 2) increased positivity and engagement, 3) authentic, inspiring leaders, and 4) and an empowered culture (where decision-making is distributed systemically).
Please arrive with an open mind and a willingness to try something new. The morning will begin with meditation and some light breath-based movement practices.
These practices will be optional, but highly encouraged, because life is short.
All practices will be anchored in scientific significance, or what we call tooth-brushing practices for soul development (they don’t take long and leave you rejuvenated).
